By now, you have a decent understanding of who the Natsarim are. The last aspect of this crowd of these selected disciples brings a very important aspect of the true faith that few modern “Christians” have any idea about and which the church does not speak much about - if ever at all. - The fact that we are grafted in - and thus can be removed !
The final interpretation of the translation of The Natsarim is Strong's 5342, Natsar = "branch." The Natsarim represent the gentile part of Israel (those who do not originally belong to the tribe of Judah) that is grafted in by faith through Yahusha Ha’mashiach.
Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
(Yeshayahu / Isaiah 60:21, KJV)
This idea connects the disciples, the branches, the offspring of His teachings, and Him as the root to which the branches are grafted.
…Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root, do not boast over those branches. … You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
… Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in … They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith.
Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will certainly not spare you either.
Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness.
Otherwise you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. …
(Romans 11:16-24, BSB)
And as Yahusha Ha’mashiach makes it clear, He is the root, and the Natsarim are those "wild olive shoots," the minor branches. Only by staying in Him will we be able to produce spiritual fruit for YAHUAH, which is worship, from ourselves and others.
Yahusha unpacked our roles as branches on the vine very clearly in (Yohanan / John 15):
I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. …
Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.
As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and remain in His love.
I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.
(Yohanan / John 15:1-11, BSB)
The significance of this is that anyone can be grafted into the Vine (Yahusha) by YAHUAH and receive forgiveness, grace, and release from the curse of the law, and live forever, provided we repent of all our sins and bow to Yahusha as our savior, and king. Such a person will receive the Holy Spirit and eventually be made perfect (by the Holy Spirit) in YAHUAH's eyes.
Remaining in Yahusha, however, is up to each of us. And as is evident by Yahusha in (Yohanan / John 15:10-11), that keeping His commandments will result in Him loving us and that our joy will be complete. This is all in line with the distinction between becoming "great" or "the least" in heaven (Mattai / Matthew 5:18-19), as discussed previously. It is also consistent with obeying the law as a true born-again believer, since Yahusha’s commandment is to teach people the law (commandments and statues). In the rapture, we then become "complete" in that joy.
-So, have you repented to the Father and asked for the Holy Spirit?
Been reborn for real?
Done any self-deliverance?
Counted your worldly life as lost?
Are you ready to sacrifice your most precious belongings?
Have you revisited your war plan against your sin? - Washing the house (yourself) daily on the outside will do you little good if the inside is still wide open, daily ransacked by demons.
Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good character.
(1 Qorinti’im / Corinthians 15:33, BSB)
Do not deceive yourself or let yourself be deceived by anyone. If you are divided inside and in your relationship with the Holy Spirit and your house is open and ransacked in these times before the storm of the tribulation, then do not expect to be able to withstand the storm when it is upon you or the flood of wicked mobs and demons and their filth and aggression that will be coming your way in the days of tribulation.
In both your houses (inside you and where you live), write on the blackboard the rules and regulations, routines, and resources to use when the times worsen. Have no illusions. - They will come much sooner than you want them to. And a wide open house is as bad as a city without walls. - Impossible to defend.
Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who does not control his temper.
(Mishlei / Proverbs 25:28)
Another important step in staying fruitful, is to build or join a community of true born-again believers that works as originally intended. A faithful congregation will be working together as once intended, supporting each other and becoming self-sufficient in all aspects in servitude to mankind and in preparation for the tribulation, spiritually, economically, socially, and culturally. Alike how YAHUAH likely will set up the Millennial Kingdom: as a voluntary federation. - No one (except YAHUAH) controls the other but relies on the law and the faith and work equally and voluntarily only, together.
Staying in Ha’mashiach also means that we assume the attitude of Yahusha towards the world and people around us, not allowing ourselves to be compromised. The key to this, and essentially the whole attitude of Ha’mashiach, is unconditional love as you would have to a beloved family member.
We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods. This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God , and I am trusting him.
For he rescues you from every trap and protects you from the fatal plague. He will shield you with his wings! They will shelter you. His faithful promises are your armor.
Now you do not need to be afraid of the dark anymore, nor fear the dangers of the day.
(T’hilim / Psalms 91:1-5, BSB)
Finally, we are not "just" people with a Holy Spirit within, but first and foremost ambassadors of the Kingdom of heaven, emissaries on temporary assignment until death or rapture. We stay gracefully within Hamashiach, waiting for the Holy Spirit to speak for us.
Because thou hast made YAHUAH, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
(T’hilim / Psalms 91:9-10,13, KJV)
All born again know that the words from the Holy Spirit will always be short, ruthlessly honest, to the point, and have the usual mark of finality over them. They always have brought and keep bringing us to realize just how vain our thinking is. As Natsarim, we stand in the grace of Yahusha, open, proactive, graceful, and mentally prepared for all scenarios that may unfold. We are first and foremost faithful to YAHUAH and our roles as ambassadors, and for this, the path will become ever more glorious to walk, even unto death.
The path of the just is as a shining light that shines more and more unto the perfect day.
(Mashali / Proverbs 4:18, KJV)
In the last age, The Natsarim are arising among the nations (Yirmeyahu / Jeremiah 31).
For there will be a day when watchmen [Natsarim] will call out on the hills of Ephraim, 'Arise, let us go up to Zion, to YAHUAH our Alahim!'
(Yirmeyahu / Jeremiah 31:6, BSB)
Grafted into Yahusha and enjoying the water of life, we pray for the mercy and grace of our Ha'mashiach, our Savior, king of kings, and Lord of lords.
That we may show good works and law obedience as fruit coming from our faith and submission to Yahusha Ha'mashiach, to the glory of the Holy Spirit to whom we owe all our progress, knowledge, discernment, and wisdom.
In this, we pray to also be rendering worship as Fruit that is pleasing to our almighty, holy, loving, and righteous Yahuah, Father in heaven.
Amen.
In the next, part 10 in this series, we will look to judging people and it is probably the most salty part of being a Natsarim !
